October in Pink 2023 – Jesolo

Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention Support

The month of October is dedicated to breast cancer awareness and prevention, and is a crucial time to educate the community on women’s health. In Jesolo, the Associazione Donna 2000 Forza Rosa, with the support of the municipality, is organising a special event called ‘October in Pink’ to highlight this important issue and offer support to women suffering from this disease.

Here is the calendar of events:

Think Pink concert
On Saturday 7 October at 9 p.m., at the Vivaldi Theatre, you can enjoy an exciting concert with the Think Pink One Voice Choir, under the artistic direction of Maria dal Rovere. This event is free and open to all.

Convention and Conference
On Monday 9 October, from 17:00 to 19:00, an important conference entitled ‘Pink Event: Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation of Breast and Female Tumours’ will be held in the Council Chamber of Jesolo City Hall. This event aims to provide essential information on breast cancer prevention and treatment. It is a valuable opportunity to learn and share experiences. Admission is free.

In addition, on Friday 13 October at 8.30 p.m., at the Ca’ Manetti Hall in Eraclea, there will be a similar conference on the prevention and treatment of breast and female cancers. This event is also free and open to all.

Open Day
On 21 and 22 October, during the ‘Autunno in Festa’ event in the historic centre of Jesolo, you will have the opportunity to participate in short outrigger canoe trips along the Sile river. This activity is ideal for psycho-physical rehabilitation and is free of charge. In addition, you can contribute to fundraising at the stand of the Associazione Donna 2000 Forza Rosa.

Theatre
Finally, on Saturday 28 October at 9 p.m., at the Vivaldi Theatre in Jesolo, you can watch ‘Affetti e Difetti’, a play narrated by Giovanna Digito. This show tells country stories with irony and sincerity, offering an amusing and reflective look at our roots. Admission costs 10.00 euro.

The Associazione Donna 2000 Forza Rosa has been supporting women with breast cancer for years, offering both physical and psychological support. Participation in ‘October in Pink’ is important for all women who have won the battle against this disease, for those who are still fighting, and also in memory of those who unfortunately did not make it.
