The D.O.C. Lison-Pramaggiore area embraces the eastern part of the Veneto Region, extending from the land near the sea to the borders with the provinces of Treviso and Pordenone in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Easily accessible by car or bicycle, it is characterised by vast expanses of vines, for long stretches hugging the Livenza and Tagliamento rivers. The vines grow on soil particularly rich in calcium and calcareous clay, giving the grapes unique properties and flavours. The area takes its name from the ancient village of Lison and the town of Pramaggiore. The area’s winemaking tradition has very ancient roots that take us back to the Roman Empire of which the nearby Concordia Sagittaria was a splendid and flourishing colony. Today it is possible to relive the culture of the empire through the remains of the walls and in the city’s two main museums. On this splendid journey you can taste the wines that fall under the Lison-Pramaggiore D.O.C. label: Bianco, Rosso, Lison classico or Tocai Italico, Pinot bianco, Chardonnay, Pinot grigio, Riesling italico, Riesling (from Riesling Renano), Sauvignon, Verduzzo, Merlot, Malbech, Cabernet, Cabernet franc, Cabernet sauvignon, Refosco dal peduncolo rosso. There are also many agriturismi in the area, where you can stay even just one night immersed in the Veneto countryside, lulled by the song of cicadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
