The impressive Jesolo Lighthouse (or Piave Vecchia Lighthouse) is located at the junction of the Sile River and the Adriatic Sea, precisely in the municipality of Cavallino-Treporti. Dating back to 1846, its initial construction had military purposes under Austrian rule. After being destroyed during the Second World War, it was faithfully rebuilt between 1949 and 1951 by the Civil Engineers of Venice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This imposing lighthouse, characterised by its cylindrical shape and black and white stripes, stands 48 metres high. To reach the top, one has to climb a spiral staircase consisting of 243 steps made of Istrian stone. Its powerful light signal can be spotted up to 18 miles away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2004, the Piave Vecchia lighthouse has also housed the Jesolo Coast Guard headquarters, thanks to renovations that have improved its logistical facilities. In 2018, the lighthouse underwent restoration, thus preserving its historical charm and cultural importance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discover also the nearby Spiaggia del Faro<\/a> (Lighthouse Beach), a beautiful location at the end of Jesolo’s seafront promenade. During the summer season, it becomes the stage for unforgettable parties with renowned international DJs and artists, who make thousands of young people dance.
