Choosing Jesolo as your holiday destination means choosing a location that is also popular with stars from the worlds of cinema, entertainment, music, culture and sport. It is very easy to find footballers from the most important Italian football teams, actors from Italian and international cinema, opera singers, but also internationally famous pop stars and deejays, speakers from the most popular Italian radio stations, and television personalities of all ages enjoying the sun on the beach in one of the most luxurious bathing establishments, strolling along the pedestrian area in the evening, or sitting in one of the many excellent restaurants located throughout Jesolo. To pay homage and thank this special attention that the resort has always received from these personalities, since 2001 the municipal administration has launched an urban planning programme that has seen as many as 12 streets dedicated to 12 Italian stars whose art is recognised worldwide: Alberto Sordi, Gina Lollobrigida, Andrea Bocelli, Katia Ricciarelli, Carla Fracci, Mike Bongiorno, Lino Banfi, Mara Venier, Christian De Sica, Nancy Brilli, Sophia Loren, and Umberto Veronesi.
